Dogs and cats: 20 to 60 mg/kg as a treatment dose

2 to 8 weeks in dogs, cats and horses. The most important thing to appreciate is that you are not going to see quick improvement the next day the way you would do if you took aspirin or meloxicam or phenylbutazone. We suggest using a double dose for 14 days.

If you have seen no improvement after 14 days you are only a 20% chance of seeing improvement even if you persist for the recommended 8 weeks.
